Back at sea and a night of snoring (not Paula) and a weird dream (not Paula). Quite why I’d be dreaming of buying a yellow TVR and getting annoyed because Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond stripped it without labelling the various parts, is something that I doubt even the dream analysts would know where to start!
Men’s Shed after a cooked breakfast and a NZ (Jed’s) coffee before trivia.
A great team effort on Jamie’s fun quiz, which must have been really, really tough, as we got one question wrong. That put us on a tie break with 2 other teams, but Sandie came up trumps with the winning answer on the year in which the original ‘Ghost Busters’ was first released. We were ecstatic with the win, but sadly, it wasn’t the day for winning a sheep station, but we gratefully and modestly accepted our token prizes. Larraine took a team photo, but as at the time of writing, there is no chance of either downloading or uploading it for the blog. Sorry.
We were there early enough for ukulele class, but the control room in the Legend’s Sports bar, where the classes are held, was locked. Salomon managed to get in, eventually, but I’m not disclosing how!
Late lunch and a Rogan Josh lamb curry. Tasty, but not particularly tender, plus a piece of tilapia and a piece of baked salmon. Jill, if you are reading this, you’d like the availability of the salmon!
Our afternoon quiz team still did well, just 2 behind the winners.
Just before dinner (Italian theme), I checked the sports channel to see if the Austrian GP was on. No idea. By the time we got back to the cabin, they were showing the winners on the podium… Drat.
We skipped the Pirate deck party and retired to the cabin.
Another day at sea before an overnight stop in Hong Kong, where we have booked an evening city tour and dinner. On our shopping list
a) Dance shoes for Paula
b) Shoe glue both of us
c) Some glucosomine/condroitin joint tablets for me
d) Maybe a ukulele for both of us, or even each of us
A quick check before bed, but still unable to upload emails. There sure is going to be a lot of catching up. The biggest annoyance seems to be that it is only affecting some ISPs, not all. One or two have resorted to writing a blog in Notepad, then copying and pasting into their blog pages. I’m reluctant to do that as I really want the pics included.
